What barista tools do I need to start?

A tamper, tamping mat, milk jug, knock box and coffee scales cover the essentials, and a distribution tool helps with consistency. Our starter value packs bundle the basics together.

What size tamper do I need?

Match the tamper to your filter basket. It's commonly 58mm on E61 and commercial-style machines, 54mm on many Breville models and 51mm on La Pavoni lever machines. Not sure? Our team can confirm the right size for your machine.

Do I really need coffee scales?

Weighing your dose and your shot is the easiest way to make consistent espresso and dial in new beans quickly.

What does a WDT or distribution tool do?

It breaks up clumps and evens out the coffee bed before tamping, which reduces channelling and gives a more even extraction.

Can I get 20% off barista gear with a machine?

Our Bundle & Save offer gives you 20% off eligible accessories and consumables with selected coffee machines and grinders. Eligible items show the Bundle & Save offer in your cart.
