Common faults
Common Saeco faults we fix
Fully automatic machines have a lot of moving parts, and daily use and scale build-up wear them out over time. These are the faults we see most often on Saeco machines.
Brewing unit problems
A stuck, leaking or dirty brewing unit causes weak coffee, grounds in the drip tray or the machine refusing to brew.
Milk system problems
Weak or no milk froth usually points to a blocked milk circuit, scale build-up or worn seals in the milk system.
Grinder problems
Strange noises or beans not grinding usually mean the ceramic burrs need cleaning, adjusting or replacing.
Water leaks
Puddles under the machine often come from worn hoses, seals or a cracked water tank.
No power or not heating
A machine that won't turn on or heat up may need a new heater, thermal fuse or power board repair.
Error messages and descale alerts
Error codes or descale alerts that won't clear usually need a technician to diagnose sensors and internal components.

FAQs
Saeco repair questions
Are you an authorised Saeco repairer?
Yes. Prestige is an authorised Saeco service agent, with manufacturer training and full access to Saeco technical information and genuine parts.
My Saeco is still under warranty. What should I do?
Just bring your machine into our Torrensville workshop with a copy of your receipt. We handle Saeco warranty repairs directly, so there's nothing to pay and no need to contact anyone else first.
How often should my Saeco be serviced?
We recommend a professional service every 12 months, plus regular cleaning of the brewing unit and descaling at home. Adelaide's hard water builds scale quickly, so regular care helps prevent blockages.
Is there a fee to assess my machine?
For out-of-warranty machines, a workshop assessment fee is payable when you drop your machine in. Warranty repairs cost you nothing, just bring your receipt.
Do you repair Saeco office machines?
Yes. We service and repair Saeco home and office fully automatic machines, including the Royal and Magic ranges. For workplaces, we can also help with ongoing maintenance. Call our team to discuss your machine.
Why is my Saeco showing a brewing unit error?
This usually means the brewing unit is dirty, out of position or needs lubricating. Remove it, rinse it under warm water and refit it. If the error comes back, the brewing unit or its motor needs servicing, which our technicians can do with genuine Saeco parts.
Why is my Saeco grinder making a loud noise?
A loud grinding or clicking noise usually means a foreign object, like a small stone, has got into the burrs, or the burrs are worn. Stop using the grinder and bring the machine in so we can inspect it and replace the burrs if needed.
