Common faults
Common Profitec faults we fix
Even premium machines wear with daily use, heat and scale. These are the faults we see most often across Profitec single boiler, heat exchanger, dual boiler and lever models.
Heating and temperature failures
A machine that won't heat or hold temperature may need a new element, PID adjustment or thermal fuse.
Loss of steam pressure
Weak steam often points to scale in the boiler, a faulty pressurestat or worn internal valves.
Water leaks
Puddles under the machine usually come from worn group seals, hardened O-rings or loose plumbing connections.
Extraction problems
Weak or restricted shots often result from a blocked E61 group, a failing vibratory or rotary pump or a worn shower screen.
Grinder issues
On Profitec grinders, noises or a failure to grind usually mean the burrs need cleaning, recalibration or replacement.
Lever machine servicing
Spring lever models like the Pro 800 need periodic piston seal and spring checks to keep pressure and flow consistent.
How it works

FAQs
Profitec repair questions
Are you an authorised Profitec repairer?
Yes. Prestige is an authorised Profitec service agent, with manufacturer training and full access to Profitec technical information and genuine parts.
My Profitec is still under warranty. What should I do?
Just bring your machine into our Torrensville workshop with a copy of your receipt. We handle Profitec warranty repairs directly, so there's nothing to pay and no need to contact anyone else first.
How often should my Profitec be serviced?
We recommend a professional service every 12 months, plus regular backflushing at home for E61 machines. Adelaide's hard water builds scale quickly, so regular servicing protects the boiler and heating elements.
Is there a fee to assess my machine?
For out-of-warranty machines, a workshop assessment fee is payable when you drop your machine in. Warranty repairs cost you nothing, just bring your receipt.
Do you service older Profitec models?
Yes. We service the current Profitec range, including the GO, Move, Drive, Ride and Jump, as well as older models like the Pro 300, 500, 600 and 700.
