Common faults

Common Breville faults we fix

Breville machines are popular and practical, but daily use and scale build-up wear parts over time. These are the faults we see most often.

Weak or no extraction

Slow, weak or no flow usually points to scale in the thermocoil or thermojet, a blocked shower screen or a failing pump.

Built-in grinder problems

On Barista Express and Barista Pro models, noises or inconsistent dosing usually mean the burrs need cleaning, adjusting or replacing.

Steam wand issues

Weak steam or a dripping wand often comes from scale build-up or a worn steam valve.

Water leaks

Leaks under the machine usually come from worn seals, a cracked tank or a loose internal hose.

Not heating or flashing lights

A machine that won't heat or keeps flashing usually needs its heating element, sensors or control board checked.

How it works

Our Breville service and repair process

Every Breville service starts with a full inspection of the heating system, pump, group and, on combi models, the grinder. We clean, replace worn seals and descale, then test the machine before it goes home. We back our workmanship with a warranty.

Drop it in

Bring your machine to 4/65 Stephens Avenue, Torrensville, any weekday between 8am and 5pm. No booking needed, a workshop assessment fee is payable at the time of drop off.

FAQs

Breville repair questions

Do you repair Breville coffee machines?

Yes. Our technicians repair and service Breville espresso machines and grinders, from the Bambino to the Oracle, using quality replacement parts.

Is there a fee to assess my machine?

A workshop assessment fee is payable when you drop your machine in. Our technicians then inspect your machine and quote on what it needs.

Is it worth repairing my Breville?

It depends on the model and the fault. Our team will give you an honest recommendation, and if upgrading makes more sense we can help you find the right machine.

How often should my Breville be serviced?

We recommend a professional service every 12 months, plus regular descaling at home. Adelaide's hard water builds scale quickly, especially in thermocoil machines.
