Common faults

Common Slayer faults we fix

Slayer machines are built for heavy use, but seals, valves and heating components wear over time. These are the faults we see most often.

Group head leaks

Leaks around the portafilter usually mean the group gaskets and shower screens are due for replacement.

Flow control and needle valve issues

Inconsistent pre-brew or flow control usually needs the needle valve, paddle or seals serviced.

Boiler and element faults

Slow recovery or no heat can come from a failed element, scale build-up or a faulty pressurestat.

Temperature stability

Brew temperature drifting usually needs the PID, probes or group heaters checked.

Pump and autofill problems

A noisy rotary pump or a boiler that won't fill usually needs the pump, solenoid or level probe checked.

How it works

Our Slayer service and repair process

Every Slayer service starts with a full inspection of the groups, flow control, boilers, pump and electronics. We replace group seals and shower screens, service the needle valves, descale, and check pressure and temperature, using genuine Slayer parts. We back our workmanship with a warranty.
