Common faults

Common Eureka grinder faults we fix

Grinders work hard, and burrs and motors wear over time. These are the faults we see most often on Eureka grinders.

Worn or dull burrs

Inconsistent grind, clumping or slow grinding usually means the burrs are worn and need replacing.

Motor and noise problems

Loud grinding, humming without turning or stalling can point to a motor, capacitor or blockage problem.

Timer and display faults

Inaccurate dose times or an unresponsive display usually need the control board or settings checked.

Grind-by-weight calibration

On the Mignon Libra and other weighing models, inaccurate doses need the load cell recalibrated or replaced.

Retention and blockages

Old coffee build-up in the chute and burr chamber affects flavour and flow, and needs a thorough clean.

How it works

Our Eureka service and repair process

Every Eureka service starts with a full strip-down and clean of the burr chamber and chute. We inspect the burrs, motor and electronics, replace worn parts with genuine Eureka parts and recalibrate the grind. We back our workmanship with a warranty.

FAQs

Eureka repair questions

Are you an authorised Eureka repairer?

Yes. Prestige is an authorised Eureka service agent, with access to Eureka technical information and genuine Eureka parts. We also handle Eureka warranty repairs directly, just bring your grinder in with a copy of your receipt.

Is there a fee to assess my grinder?

For out-of-warranty grinders, a workshop assessment fee is payable when you drop your grinder in. Warranty repairs cost you nothing, just bring your receipt.

How often should my Eureka grinder be serviced?

We recommend a professional service every 18 to 24 months for home grinders, and more often for commercial use. Burr life depends on how much coffee you grind.

Do you stock Eureka replacement burrs?

Yes. We supply and fit genuine Eureka burrs. Bring your grinder in and we'll check whether the burrs need replacing.
