Staff very helpful prior to purchase. Easy to order online, and nice to get the Easter gift. It took a week to get from Adelaide to Canberra, but that was over the Easter weekend, so understandable. To say that it was boxed up well for transport would be a gross understatement. It had its own little pallet and lots of cardboard, padding and tape. No chance that it would be damaged in transit.

The Pesado Hybrid Naked Portafilter with the Oak handle gives you a bottomless portafilter now and a spouted one whenever you need it. The head is threaded, so the Pesado hybrid spout attachment (sold separately) screws straight in and converts it from naked to spouted in seconds. The naked base exposes the bottom of the basket, so you can spot channelling and fine-tune your dose, grind and tamp. The 316L stainless steel head is paired with a warm oak look handle made from sustainably sourced birch, vacuum dyed and finished in a heat and water resistant wax. This 5mm version suits La Marzocco and E61 machines built from 2023 onwards with 8.5mm group seals.

One portafilter, two ways to brew. The Pesado Hybrid Naked Portafilter has a threaded head, so you can pull bottomless shots to watch your extraction, then screw in the Pesado hybrid spout attachment (sold separately) whenever you want a spouted pour. No second portafilter and no tools needed.

The naked base exposes the bottom of the basket, so you can spot channelling, spurts and uneven flow as they happen. That makes it much easier to dial in your grind, dose and tamp, and it's a great training tool for home baristas.

Built to Last, Made to Look Good

The head is machined from 316L stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance under daily use. It's paired with a warm oak look handle made from sustainably sourced birch, vacuum dyed and finished in a heat and water resistant wax. As with any timber handle, don't soak it or leave it wet, as small natural splits can develop over time.

5mm or 6mm?

Pesado makes its LM/E61 portafilters with 5mm or 6mm fins. This 5mm version suits La Marzocco and E61 machines built from 2023 onwards with 8.5mm group seals. Older machines, or machines with worn group seals, usually need the 6mm version. Not sure which you need? Tell us your machine and we'll confirm the right fit.

La Marzocco and E61 group machines including ECM, Lelit, Profitec, Rocket, Sanremo, Slayer, Synesso and VBM. Takes a 58mm basket (not included). Spout attachment sold separately.
